Partner Verry Iskandar (Verry), Soemadipradja & Taher’s leading competition and antitrust law specialist, was invited to share his expertise in a training session for competition lawyers organised by the Indonesia Competition Lawyers Association (ICLA) on 27 November 2025. The session focused on the topic of “Introduction to the Indonesian Merger Control.”

Verry gave a presentation on Indonesia’s merger control regime, notification process and the common pitfalls that often lead to financial penalties, particularly errors made by businesses when filing notifications with the Indonesia Competition Commission (KPPU). The presentation was followed by an engaging Q&A session, where participants shared experience and insights on the practical challenges of submitting merger notifications.
