Soemadipradja & Taher is established by Rahmat S.S. Soemadipradja and Hafzan Taher in Jakarta. The two-man team rapidly gains a reputation among international clients for their excellent legal services and integrity.
Facing increased demand and seeing an opportunity to broaden the capabilities of the firm, Soemadipradja & Taher relocates to Wisma BNI in Jakarta's central business district. The firm begins accepting its first batch of new lawyers, and expands its international networks to include prominent foreign firms such as Freehills and Nauta Dutilh.
Requiring a more strategic location, Soemadipradja & Taher relocates to the then-recently opened Wisma GKBI.
