Soemadipradja & Taher (S&T) is pleased to share that we assisted Saint-Gobain, a Paris-based multinational leader in the light and sustainable construction and industrial markets, in acquiring Fosroc for USD1.025 billion (approximately €960 million) in cash. Saint-Gobain and Fosroc successfully entered into a definitive agreement on 27 June 2024.

This acquisition involved Fosroc subsidiaries worldwide, including PT Fosroc Indonesia. Fosroc, a global manufacturer of high-performance construction chemicals and materials headquartered in Dubai, will enhance Saint-Gobain’s ability to offer a comprehensive range of products and services in the construction and industrial markets to its customers worldwide.

Led by our Partner Avindra Yuliansyah Taher and supported by Senior Associate Krishna Vesa and Associate Sahda Edgina Nahdah, S&T provided expert legal counsel throughout the acquisition process for the Indonesian jurisdiction. Our team’s extensive experience and deep understanding of both the construction and legal sectors were instrumental in navigating the complexities of this international transaction.
