Soemadipradja & Taher is pleased to share that we recently assisted the Government of Indonesia (GoI) on the issuance of Indonesian Japanese Yen-denominated Bonds (Samurai Bonds), amounting to JPY 103.2 billion. The GoI successfully issued these Samurai Bonds, which are aimed at supporting the financing of the 2025 budget.

This strategic move is anticipated to provide crucial fiscal support for the implementation of its planned initiatives for the upcoming financial year. The successful placement of these bonds in the Japanese market represents a key step in diversifying the GoI’s funding sources.

Led by our Partners Emalia Achmadi and Denia Isetianti Permata and supported by Senior Associate Pratiwi Anas and Associates Rahel Naomi Panggabean and Indira Nurul Anjani, S&T provided comprehensive legal assistance throughout the process of the bond issuance, underscoring the expertise of its lawyers in international bonds and the capital markets.
